ID Card or passport (compulsory for destinations outside the EU) valid for six months after your return date.
No VISA required for all study stays shorter than 6 months. The European students must however apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization. The ETA can be done quickly online. You will need your passport and a credit card.
Other nationalities may need a visa. The processing time is quite fast : 2 to 3 weeks, but it takes time to prepare the application and obtain all requested documents.
Health insurance:
– for students from Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Romania and Sweden, either subscribe to the university’s insurance for CA $ 324 for 4 months, or follow the procedures with your own Health Insurance Fund. You must ask for the SE 401 Q 106 form. After your arrival, you will have to follow administrative procedures with the RAMQ (Health Insurance services in Quebec).
– for students from other countries : you must suscribe to the university’s insurance.
