The university was founded 16 years ago in honor of Baltazar Adam Krčelić, a famous Croatian historian, theologian and lawyer.
A man of great spirituality and intelligence, with his ideas and open criticism, he was a staunch defender of reforms in all areas of education and economy, more precisely regarding the education of the youth.

Around 30,000 people live in Zapresic, located 17 km away from Zagreb. It is famous for its history – 5 castles, churches, traditional events – and its landscapes.
The artificial lake Zajarki is located in the south of the city and has become a bathing spot for Zaprešić’s inhabitants, but also for people from Zagreb.

Good to know
Living cost is estimated at 400-600 € / month. This amount covers food, accommodation, transportation and books.
A “Buddy” system has been set up by the university: you will be put in contact with a student from the university who will support you before, during and after your semester.
The number of places in Erasmus + is limited. The granting of a scholarship is therefore not automatic and the amount paid may vary. However, we invite you to apply because exchange places (excluding Erasmus +) may be offered. Please refer to the Erasmus+ section.
